WTF? Pizza's a snip now

Does the act of cutting up a pizza vex you to no end? Do you find yourself with numerous nicks and cuts on your palms because you constantly use the wrong end of a pizza cutter to slice pies? Lucky for you, there's pizza scissors. The manufacturer claims the US$20 shears-and-spatula design won't damage plates or trays like a pizza wheel or knife would, but we think if that's the main reason you purchase one of these, you probably have bigger issues on your plate than a few dinged pieces of china.

'Slice and serve with one hand' is the claim of the makers of the innovative Pizza Pro. With a 10 year guarantee, it works for
both right and left handed pizza eaters and fits in a standard kitchen drawer for Brobdingnagians.

Yes, it's yet another gadget to add to the kitchen clutter, available from
SkyMall to residents in the USA.

i love it! hahaha

in all seriousness, one of my friends was saying that she hates cutting up pineapple (she is a pastry chef) and would love a gizmo that could do it. I have an apple corer/slicer, which could probably be modified to do pineapples, but has anyone seen anythign like this before?

There is a pineapple gadget - my mum used to have one but there's a lot of waste involved and you have to cut off the top and bottom of the fruit to use it. It takes the core out and about an inch of the flesh under the skin.

I find its easier to slice off the skin vertically with a cleaver and then run it in a diagonal spiral around the fruit to take out any remaining spines.

Haha that looks gloriously lazy. I'm amazed sometimes at what gadgets there are out there.

OMG so many pineapple things. My friend will be in heaven!

(I'll just leave it in my house to my husband to do. In my defence, i cut of an entire finger nail last week slicing pumpkin so i am now banned from usuing knives when i am tired)

WRONG.

Honestly. If a wheel cutter is too much drama, there is the multipurpose cleaver or kitchen knife!

My cook's knife does me - plenty of leverage and you can use it to remove a slice to your plate.
